Where and why there to register/renew domain names?

Domain-Names---Free-Privacy Where do you register your domains? I use GoDaddy for number of reasons, one of which is overall quality and excellent
customer support
. But mostly - because you can find numerous discount coupons floating around at any time… If you ever
registered new or renewed existing domain at GoDaddy at list price - you made a big mistake… Just google for example for
"godaddy .net coupon", and open just fresh pages (with 2009 date), and then try few of the coupons out (on your order page, at the bottom, where the total amount is listed, you will find a field “Coupon”)… You can save big, especially if you have
many domains…

Here are three coupons that work as of today (27.february 2009):

emma3 = .COM domain for 7.49USD (works on new reg's and renewals)
gc749dom = 7,49 USD .COM for new and renewals
gdbb776 = 6,99 USD .INFO and 7,49 USD .NET domains - works for renewals too!

But if you use privacy option (hidden whois data with domain), which is great to hide your email from spammers etc, then
consider DomainSite… Plain domain registration is a bit more expensive as at godaddy's, but privacy option
is just 0,5 USD per YEAR
(in comparison, godaddy's service DomainsByProxy charges 7$/year!!! - or its free for one year
if you buy 6 new domains - but after first year - well, transfer them to DomainSite for best price)…

You will note that there are no affiliate links here – as I do not want to “sell” you these domain registrars. I recommend them because they are best value for me. If you know better – please leave a feedback! :)
